long. The lake is
4.5 miles long. It's
fed by five main
streams. It's
designated "high
quality" water.
Lake Glenville (Thorpe Reservoir) was built in
1941 by ALCOA and the Nantahala Power
Company. It is now owned by Duke Power who
administers regulations such as dock permits.
