Connestee Falls Lakes and Parks
The four lakes of Connestee Falls are pristine, beautiful and the
source of endless recreational fun for the residents here. The
community is fortunate that, except for one small stream, the
watersheds for all four
lakes are completely within the boundaries, thus giving the
community virtually complete control over their
lake water quality.
Three of the lakes have storage for small boats. All lakes have
boat launching ramps. All four lakes contain the five
predominant fish species in varying numbers -- large mouth
bass, bluegill bream, catfish, yellow perch and rainbow trout.
The lakes also have additional amenities such as picnic areas.
The community's largest park, Atagahi Park, has a large
pavilion used for multiple events, many barbecue grills,
covered picnic tables, a playground, a sandy swimming beach,
rest rooms, a basketball and volleyball
court and horseshoe pits. Many residents walk around the park
for exercise on the tree-shaded perimeter path. Pontoon boats,
kayaks, sail boats and any other non-power or electric
powered boats are welcome.
